Applying for Railway Jobs? Now RRB has made Aadhaar Cards mandatory for Railway jobs, candidates will be required to furnish their 12-digit Aadhaar number or 28-digit Aadhaar registration receipt while applying. In a bid to check on the impersonation through biometric attendance systems and Aadhar data, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has now made it compulsory to provide Aadhar card number for all future recruitment process.
Therefore, candidates seeking employment in the Railway should apply for the Aadhar card through the Aadhaar Enrolment Centers, which has been initiated by the govt to for establishing the individual’s identity to provide various benefits through the govt run schemes. It came into existence through the  Section 57 of the Aadhaar Act which permits the use of Aadhaar number for establishing the identity of an individual for any purpose pursuant to any law or any contract to this effect,”.
Currently the candidates belonging to the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam have been allowed to apply without the Aadhar number until the further notification. However, they will need to provide the other required identification documents such as Passport details, Voter ID, or other valid identity documents approved by the RRB.
